Judging by the name, beeswax from our Bee candles are made by local bees across the UK.
Wax is produced in the wax glands of the bees abdomen, and once it gets exposed to the air, the wax is hardened. The hardworking bees will then start to chew the wax to build honeycomb and it also has an added benefit that it helps to keep the hive healthy and waterproof. Honeycomb is a fundamental part of the hive and its main purpose is to store pollen and honey for the hive.
Be careful at your placement of the beeswax candles when you’re burning it – if its on a windowsill or in a draught, it will burn quicker because of the increased oxygen.
When burning completely natural, chemical-free beeswax candles, it helps to pull out the toxins in the air, while ionising it too. With the faintest of aromas, it’s amazing how much our beeswax candles can help you have healthier, less polluted air around the home.
With no added fragrances or any colouring, we make sure our beeswax candles are completely natural, just as nature intended. What’s great about Beeswax candles is that manufacturers only use the extra beeswax from the hive, so its just what the bees don’t need, which makes it good for the environment too!
So, remember, check on the labels that it says “100% Pure Beeswax” before purchasing one. That way you know you’re buying a quality product which is not damaging the earth either!
