Acacia honey is derived from the nectar of the Robinia pseudoacacia flower, commonly known as the black locust or the false acacia tree, which is native to North America and Europe as it grows in subtropical and tropical climates. These trees belong to Fabaceae family, so they fix nitrogen into the soil, which makes it a great choice for damaged or poor soils. They grow to an average height of 5-10 meters, have large crowns and long branches, which provide a very intense smell.
