Myth: all honey is the same. Not true, Mānuka honey's methylglyoxal content sets it apart from regular honey, though how much varies jar to jar, which is exactly why grading systems like KFactor and MGO exist.
Myth: any Mānuka honey rating means the same thing. Also not true. KFactor and MGO measure different things (pollen concentration versus a specific antibacterial compound), and higher numbers mean a more concentrated version of that measure, not an automatically "more therapeutic" product. Our Wedderspoon range is genuinely raw and unheated, which is worth knowing when comparing brands.
Myth: only older people need to think about joint health. False. Joint problems from overuse, injury, or genetics can affect younger adults and athletes too, it's worth looking after your joints at any age, and worth seeing your doctor for anything persistent.
Myth: cracking your knuckles causes arthritis. This one's genuinely false, and well studied. The sound is just gas bubbles releasing in the joint fluid, no proven link to arthritis at all.
Myth: only prescription medication helps joint pain. Not necessarily, many people find genuine value in physical therapy, lifestyle changes, and supplements like glucosamine and chondroitin, but always worth a proper conversation with your GP before choosing a path.
