In this blog we’re going to cover how to apply the Bee-Yu Manuka Honey Face Masque. This product was reviewed by one of our female members of staff and her words are below. But first:
WARNING – this product contains Bee Venom, so a patch test to check your sensitivity on your hand, is strongly recommended to take place 24 hours before your first application. Should your skin go red or swell, seek immediate medical attention and inform them that Bee Venom is an ingredient in the product.
Now, back to our How to Guide…
So, providing the patch test was clear and you did not have any adverse reaction, you are now ready to apply this luxurious Face Masque.
First, it’s important to make sure you cleanse your face and remove any impurities from the day, like make-up or your natural oils of your face. I removed my make-up by using a hypo-allergenic baby wipe to ensure it didn’t have any balm or additives in it that could affect or enhance the skin.
Now wait for the skin to dry naturally, and then you’re ready to apply the Bee-Yu Manuka Honey Face Masque.
Remove the outer packaging and remove the lid. You will need to press down on the top of the pot – the springy white bit with a hole in it – to release the contents of the Face Masque. Pump a supply of the Face Masque into your hands and apply to your face. It doesn’t need to be a thick application of the gel, just one that covers your skin properly. It might take a few minutes to apply the mask, but work as quickly as you can because as soon as the gel touches the air, it will start to set.
Important - Make sure that you do not apply this face masque too close to the eyes as it contains Bee Venom and it could irritate your eyes.
Now once you have applied the gel to the affected area, just sit back and relax and wait for the masque to work its magic!
You may feel a slight tingling sensation which is the Bee Venom being absorbed by your skin, but this is normal. Obviously if you have a significant reaction (skin goes red or if you have intense pain), immediately wipe off the face mask with warm water and seek medical advice.
With my experience, despite having sensitive skin, I didn’t have a reaction, and after 10 minutes, I decided to wash off the face mask – just in warm water.
And the results? My skin felt tighter and more refreshed and deeply cleansed, which I absolutely loved.
I will definitely be making this part of my skincare regime in future ? and can’t wait to see what my friends think in a few weeks time!
Editor’s note –we don’t know of anyone who has had a reaction to this product, but, as Bee Venom is a widely known allergen, we just ask that you use extra caution.
