What is Manuka Honey and how does it actually Benefit me? - Manuka Honey Direct

The origin of Manuka Honey is hinted by its name, it is made from the nectar of the Manuka Bushes native to New Zealand. The delicate white Manuka flowers blossom throughout the summer in New Zealand, which is between late January and early March while we are all suffering from the cold in the Northern Hemisphere. Manuka is the only bush that flowers around that time in the wild forests of New Zealand, so the bees bring back a good concentration of manuka pollen to the hive, to make their honey.

Manuka Honey is well-known for its antiviral, antibacterial and antioxidant benefits and has been used by generations of the indigenous Maori population as part of their own “traditional” remedies.
